Activity One: Qualities of an effective and inclusive Leader

 Instructions

  • The person born earliest in the year will be the facilitator

  1. What is inclusive leadership and why is it important?

2. Are we getting it right?

3. Is there more that could be done?


Activity Two: Subtle acts of exclusion (Micro-aggressions)


Instructions

  • The facilitator for this discussion will be the person who most recently joined the organisation.
  • Guide your team through a discussion about the hidden messages and impact of the 3 Micro-aggression examples below.
  • A speaker isn't needed for this activity.

  1. How would you define the terms bullying and harassment?

2. How do these terms differ? What does the law say?

3. Are we adequately equipped to respond effectively to instances of bullying or harassment? Are we getting it right?

4. Is there more that could be done?


Activity Four: What can we do better?


Develop an awareness of what individuals and the organisation can do to prevent and tackle bullying and harassment.

 

Share ways in which we can improve our interactions with others
